I can’t quite believe how popular this new product has been, but to seek $70,000 and receive commitments of $5.24m just goes to show the power of crowdfunding.

Great idea for easy extraction, but still requires beekeepers and beekeeping. I hope this doesn’t allow people to think they can just plonk a hive in their garden and just tap the honey when they fancy it. The bees will still need to be managed for the purposes of swarming and disease control.

But it is a great idea and I would love to think it would work, but there has to be a catch. Doesn’t there? Tell me what you think.
